Why Large Language Versions Prove We Shed the “Animal Way of Understanding”

When the Messages Started Coming In It began as a flow. E-mails, DMs, late-night texts from friends and family.

“AI will certainly never be human.”

“Do not fret, it’s all smoke and mirrors.”

“Real knowledge can’t be fabricated.”

I intended to think them. But something about huge language versions maintained damaging at me. These makers weren’t just resembling. They were generating thought-shaped sentences that looked uncomfortably like my own. Was this just a shop method? Or had we built a mirror, just to discover our internal lives were less mystical than we hoped?

Von Neumann’s Boast

John von Neumann , that appeared to juggle physics and computing prior to breakfast, once stated: “If you will tell me exactly what it is that a maker can refrain from doing, then I can constantly make a machine which will do just that.”

It was implied as a boast regarding human resourcefulness. But suppose the trouble is not what devices can not do, however the fact that we are explaining the globe in a language already separated from truth?
